Ft. Lauderdale, Broward, FL) 14 May 1921, Niles, MI. At birth, she was named
Edith Manona Kritzner. Disliking this name, she became known as Manola Ellen
Kritzner. Upon marriage she became known as Manola K. Van Wicklin. They had one son,
Warren, Jr.
Both Warren and Manola were residing in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan at time of 1930
US Census. Warren's WWI Draft Registration card
indicates that he was b. 25 December 1892, Grand Rapids,
MI and he was from South Bend, Indiana at the time of his registration. He
worked at that time as a traffic manager at Standard Oil Co., South Bend, IN. He
was single and described as tall, slender with brown eyes and dark hair.

courtesy of his son, Warren^9 Van Wicklin, Jr. On 28 March 1918, Warren^8 Van
Wicklin enlisted in the US Navy, giving his date of birth as 25 December 1892.
This date of birth was also used for his Florida Driver's licenses issued in
1975 and 1976. His Kent County birth certificate shows 25 Dec 1891 as his date
of birth. Reason for claiming 1892 as year of birth is unknown. The Social
Security Administration accepted 1891 as year of birth in granting benefits when
Warren attained age 65 in 1956, following retirement.

WWI Draft Registration Card
(1917-1918) for Warren Albert Van Wicklen of South Bend,
Indiana. Born, 25 December 1892, Grand Rapids, MI. At time of registration he
was a traffic mgr, Standard Oil Co., South Bend, IN. He was single, tall,
slender build with brown eyes and dark hair (not balding) and he listed having
had a hernia.
1930 US Census shows Warren Van Wicklin at age 37 and residing
as head of household in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan with wife, Manola (b. abt 1895)(courtesy,
